Wayne Dalton Torquemaster Counter 287721
This is the tension counter for the original Wayne Dalton Torqumaster system. This part is not used on the Torquemaster Plus system.
Note:
Some time ago, Wayne Dalton discontinued the original Torqumaster system and replace it with the Tourquemaster Plus system.
Most of the parts from the original TQM system do not work with the TQM Plus system.
Typically, is any of the counter balance parts in an original TQM system fail, you need to convert to the TQM Plus system.
The springs in an original TQM system DO NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED to convert to the TQM Plus system. You do however need to replace the winding cones in the spring or springs to work with the new style end brackets.

We have complete kits that include all the components needed to convert from the original TQM system to the current TQM Plus system. We also have kits that include the end and center brackets plus we sell all the parts individually.
It is our position that once any of the counter balance components on an original TQM system fail, it is best to purchase and install a complete conversion kit, all the parts are in the kit including very detailed directions. It is our contention that it is best to just do the conversion and be done with it. Once completed, the door is now up to date and if any parts are needed in the future is is simply a matter of replacing any individual part.
